Bacalar is one of the most important and beautiful lagoons in Mexico. It is delimited by several cylindrical shaped cenotes which create the 7 different and amazing colors of the lagoon. Pirates of the Caribbean used the lagoon's canal to hideout or to loot Spanish ships and the fort which still stands to this day and is now a museum.
